Frequently Asked Questions

Answers on buying, shipping, wire payments, final sale, authentication, warranty, selling, and the Atlanta showroom.

Buying

Are the watches on your site in stock?

Yes. Every watch on the site is available to order and ready to ship. Each one goes through the same pre-sale inspection before it leaves us, and you receive a tracking number by email the moment it ships. If you would like to confirm anything about a specific watch before ordering, call (770) 584-1378 or message a specialist.

How do I know exactly what comes with a watch?

Every listing states precisely what is included: manufacturer box, outer box, warranty card or papers (with the date where shown), booklets, tags and extra links. If an item is not listed, it is not included. The listing also states the condition grade, polish status, known service history and whether every component is factory original or a genuine manufacturer service replacement.

Read our Authenticity Guarantee & Condition Grading page for the full listing standards.

Can I ask questions or see more of a watch before I buy?

Yes. Our specialists are happy to walk you through any watch, answer questions about its condition and history, and help you compare references. Call (770) 584-1378, email info@swisswatches.com, or contact us. You are also welcome to visit the showroom at 3255 Peachtree Rd NE, Suite 3, Atlanta, GA 30305 during opening hours.

Is the price shown the final price?

Prices are shown in US dollars with no hidden fees. Shipping is free on every watch, and any applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address. Paying by bank wire saves an additional 3% on watches (leather goods excluded). See Wire Transfer.

Can I buy a watch as a gift?

Of course. Tell us when you order and we will register the recipient as the original purchaser so the 1-Year Limited Warranty and the Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee apply to them. Both are extended to the original purchaser only and are not transferable afterwards. Please note that all sales are final, so we recommend confirming the model and size before ordering.

Can I trade in my current watch toward a purchase?

Yes. Watches bought from Swiss Watches Dot Com, and other eligible watches you already own, can be traded toward any watch we offer. Trade-in value is based on condition and current market value, confirmed after inspection. If you trade toward a lower-priced watch, we pay you the difference. Start at Trade In Your Watch.

Payment & Wire

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank wire and the card and digital payment methods shown at checkout. Bank wire is the preferred method for watches and saves 3% on the watch price (leather goods excluded). Orders paid by card may be subject to an order review before shipping, and we may ask you to verify your identity or billing details.

How does paying by bank wire work?

Choose Bank Wire at checkout. A specialist will call you from (770) 584-1378 to confirm your order and identity. Wire instructions are delivered only after that verification. Your watch ships once the funds have cleared. The full process is explained on our Wire Transfer page.

How much do I save by paying with a wire?

Bank wire payments receive a 3% savings on the price of the watch. The savings does not apply to leather goods, and it is reflected when you choose Bank Wire at checkout.

How do I protect myself from wire fraud?

Swiss Watches Dot Com never changes wire instructions by email or text message. Always confirm the instructions by calling (770) 584-1378 before sending funds, and never wire money based on an email alone. If you receive a message asking you to send funds to a different account, stop and call us.

When will my wire be credited and my order ship?

Domestic wires usually arrive the same or next business day when sent before your bank's cut-off time; international wires can take several business days. We ship once the funds have cleared in our account. Please include your order number in the wire reference so we can match the payment quickly.

Do you offer financing?

Financing is not part of our checkout at this time. If that changes, details will be published on our Financing page. In the meantime, a bank wire is the most cost-effective way to pay for a watch.

Shipping

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on every watch. We ship by FedEx Priority Overnight, fully insured, with an adult signature required on delivery. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.

When will my watch ship?

In-stock watches ship in 1–2 business days after payment has cleared and any order review is complete. You will receive a tracking number by email the moment your watch leaves us.

Is my shipment insured?

Yes. Every shipment is insured for its full value while in transit, and an adult signature is required on delivery. Please inspect the parcel when it arrives and contact us right away if the packaging shows any damage.

Can you ship to an address other than my billing address?

For security, we normally ship to the verified billing address or to a confirmed business address. If you need delivery elsewhere, please call (770) 584-1378 before ordering so a specialist can confirm what is possible for your order.

Can I pick up my watch at the showroom?

Yes. Free showroom pickup is chosen at checkout. We email you when the watch is ready to collect at 3255 Peachtree Rd NE, Suite 3, Atlanta, GA 30305. Please bring a government-issued photo ID matching the name on the order. Showroom hours are Mon–Fri 11 AM–6 PM, Sat 12 PM–5 PM ET, Sun closed.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Our standard free overnight shipping covers the United States. For delivery to another country, contact a specialist at info@swisswatches.com or (770) 584-1378 before ordering so we can confirm the options for your destination.

Final Sale

Can I return or exchange a watch?

No. All sales are final, and Swiss Watches Dot Com does not offer refunds or exchanges. The only exceptions are the Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee, an order we cancel before it ships or that cannot be delivered as described, and anything required by law. Please ask us anything you are unsure of before you order.

Why are all sales final?

Pre-owned luxury watches are individually inspected, priced and described, and their market values move quickly. A final-sale policy lets us keep pricing sharp and describe every watch with complete transparency, so you know exactly what you are buying. Every watch is backed by our 1-Year Limited Warranty and Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee.

What if the watch I receive does not match its description?

Contact us as soon as you can, and preferably within 48 hours of delivery, at info@swisswatches.com or (770) 584-1378 with your order number and photos. Keep the watch, packaging and accessories as you received them, and do not ship anything back until we send written instructions. If you received a different item, the watch was materially inconsistent with its listing, or the shipment was damaged in transit, we review the claim under our Final Sale & Order Protection policy. A resolution can include repair, a comparable replacement, or a refund. Change of mind is not a reason for a refund or an exchange.

Can I cancel an order?

Orders are final once placed. If you need to make a change, call (770) 584-1378 immediately and we will do what we can before the watch ships. If we ever cannot deliver a watch as described, we cancel the order and return your payment in full.

What happens if a watch does not pass your final inspection?

We do not ship it. Every watch is inspected before it leaves us, and if one does not meet our standards at that final check, we cancel the order and return your payment in full.

Can I trade my watch instead of returning it?

Yes. While we do not offer refunds, we welcome trade-ins toward another watch. Value is based on the watch's condition and current market value at the time of trade, confirmed after inspection. Any remaining warranty ends at trade-in, and the watch you buy with the credit receives a new 1-Year Limited Warranty from its delivery date.

Authentication

How do you guarantee a watch is authentic?

Every watch carries our Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee. Before listing, our watchmakers authenticate the case, movement, dial and bracelet against the manufacturer's reference, time the watch on a calibrated timing machine, pressure test it and check every function. If the manufacturer, or an independent authentication service agreed by both of us, ever determines a watch is not authentic as described, we refund the full purchase price on its return. Details are on our Authenticity Guarantee page.

Do you sell watches with aftermarket diamonds or parts?

No. We only sell watches with factory-set diamonds and factory or genuine manufacturer service parts. Diamond-set references are checked against the manufacturer catalog and, where possible, confirmed with papers or a brand service record. If factory origin cannot be verified, the watch is not listed. We never set, reset or replace gemstones ourselves.

What does the condition grade mean?

We use five grades: Unworn (never worn; factory stickers or film may remain), Excellent (minimal wear visible only on close inspection), Very Good (light wear consistent with careful use), Good (visible wear; fully functional) and Vintage (25+ years old; condition described individually with patina noted). Each listing also discloses polish status and known service history.

Is every watch pressure tested?

Yes. Every watch is pressure tested before sale and the result is stated on the listing. If the watch fails to hold its stated result during the warranty period under normal use, with the crown and pushers fully secured, it is covered by the 1-Year Limited Warranty.

Will my watch come with box and papers?

Only if the listing says so. We describe exactly what is included with each watch: manufacturer box, outer box, warranty card or papers with the date where shown, booklets, tags and extra links. If something is not listed, it is not included. Manufacturer cards are provided for documentation and provenance only.

Is Swiss Watches Dot Com affiliated with the brands it sells?

No. Swiss Watches Dot Com is an independent dealer of pre-owned watches and is not affiliated with any watch manufacturer. Brand names are used only to identify the watches we offer. Every watch is backed by our own 1-Year Limited Warranty and Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee rather than by a manufacturer warranty.

Warranty

What warranty comes with my watch?

Every watch includes our 1-Year Limited Warranty, which runs for one year from the date of delivery to the original purchaser. It covers failures of the movement and its mechanical functions under normal use, timekeeping outside the stated tolerances, and loss of the stated water resistance. Read the full Limited Warranty.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Water damage from use beyond the stated pressure-test result or with an unsecured crown or pushers; crystals, impact or shock damage and magnetization; bracelet stretch, leather straps and cosmetic wear; quartz batteries; damage caused by third-party opening, repair or service; and loss, theft or misuse.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Email info@swisswatches.com or call (770) 584-1378 with your order number and photos or video of the issue. Please do not ship the watch until we issue a claim authorization and shipping instructions. Approved claims receive a prepaid, insured label to us and insured return shipping. In-house turnaround is typically 3–6 weeks; manufacturer service-center timelines can be longer.

Is the manufacturer warranty still valid?

Some watches include a manufacturer warranty card showing unexpired coverage. We make no representation that any manufacturer warranty is valid, active or transferable, and we do not administer or pass through manufacturer coverage. Such cards are included for documentation and provenance only; all warranty service is governed by our Limited Warranty.

Is the warranty transferable?

No. The Limited Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and ends if the watch is sold, traded or transferred. If you are buying a gift, tell us when you order and we will register the recipient as the original purchaser.

What parts are used in warranty repairs?

Only genuine manufacturer parts, or the watch is sent to the manufacturer's service center. We never fit generic dials, hands, bezels or bracelets. If a factory-set stone is lost, the remedies are a manufacturer service-center repair at our expense, a comparable replacement watch or a refund of the purchase price; we never set stones ourselves.

Selling & Trading

How do I sell my watch to Swiss Watches Dot Com?

Submit your watch at Sell Your Watch with the reference, condition, box and papers details and a few photos. A specialist sends a quote within one business day, usually the same day. After you accept and we verify your ID, we email a free, insured, prepaid FedEx label. Drop the package at a staffed FedEx counter. When it arrives, we inspect it on video and pay you the same day by wire or ACH.

How quickly will I receive a quote?

Within one business day of your submission, and usually the same day. Quotes reflect the current market value of your reference, its condition and completeness. If we need more detail, a specialist will call or email you.

How and when do I get paid?

For a mail-in sale, you are paid the same day your watch passes inspection, by bank wire or ACH. In the showroom, payment is the same day by cash, check, or wire. The inspection is recorded on video.

What do you buy, and who can sell?

We buy Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Omega, Cartier and other fine Swiss watches, with or without box and papers. Sellers must be 18 or older, and we buy from all 50 states. We do not accept international mail-in submissions; sellers outside the United States should contact a specialist first.

Is shipping my watch to you safe?

Yes. After we verify your ID, we email a free, insured, prepaid FedEx label for the agreed value, with packing instructions. Drop the package at a staffed FedEx counter. Your watch is inspected on video when it arrives. If the quote changes after inspection and you decline it, we return your watch insured at no charge.

Can I trade rather than sell?

Yes. Trade-in value is based on your watch's condition and current market value, confirmed after inspection, and can be applied to any watch we offer. If you trade toward a lower-priced watch, we pay the difference. Start at Trade In Your Watch.

Can I sell my watch in person?

Yes. Visit the Atlanta showroom at 3255 Peachtree Rd NE, Suite 3, Atlanta, GA 30305 during opening hours. Bring the watch, any box and papers, and a government-issued photo ID. After inspection, we pay the same day by cash, check, or wire. Call (770) 584-1378 if you would like a specialist to be ready for you.
