Every watch sold by Swiss Watches GA, LLC, doing business as Swiss Watches Dot Com, is covered by this Limited Warranty. It explains what is covered, what is not, how to make a claim, and the guarantees and listing standards that apply to every watch we sell. Please read it together with our Authenticity Guarantee & Condition Grading page.
1. Coverage and Term
Swiss Watches Dot Com warrants each watch it sells against defects in movement function, and against loss of water resistance as described below, for one (1) year from the date of delivery to the original purchaser (the "Warranty Period"), subject to these terms. This is a limited warranty.
2. What Is Covered
During the Warranty Period, this Limited Warranty covers failures of the movement and its mechanical functions under normal use, including winding, hand-setting, date and calendar functions, and chronograph start, stop and reset.
Timekeeping Standard
Timekeeping is measured on a calibrated timing machine across standard positions. A watch is within specification when it performs as follows:
| Watch type | Within specification |
|---|---|
| Certified chronometers | Within the certifying standard (COSC −4/+6 seconds per day), or the manufacturer's stricter tolerance |
| Non-certified mechanical | Within ±20 seconds per day |
| Quartz | Within ±20 seconds per month |
Deviations within these tolerances are not defects.
3. Water Resistance
Every watch is pressure tested before sale, and the result is stated on the listing. If the watch fails to hold its stated pressure-test result during the Warranty Period under normal use, with the crown and pushers fully secured, it is covered.
4. What Is Not Covered
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
- water damage from use beyond the stated pressure-test result, or with an unsecured crown or pushers;
- crystals, impact or shock damage, and magnetization;
- bracelet stretch, leather straps and cosmetic wear;
- quartz batteries;
- damage caused by third-party opening, repair or service;
- loss, theft and misuse.
5. Independent Dealer; Manufacturer Warranties
Swiss Watches Dot Com is an independent retailer of pre-owned watches and is not an authorized dealer, agent or affiliate of any watch manufacturer. This Limited Warranty is provided solely by Swiss Watches Dot Com and is given in place of any manufacturer's warranty.
Some watches may come with an original manufacturer warranty card or certificate showing unexpired coverage (for example, cards that run five years from the original sale). Swiss Watches Dot Com makes no representation that any manufacturer warranty is valid, active or transferable, and does not honor, administer or pass through any remaining manufacturer coverage. Such cards are included for documentation and provenance only. All warranty service is governed exclusively by this Limited Warranty.
6. Genuine Parts, or the Manufacturer
Warranty repairs use only genuine manufacturer parts, or the watch is sent to the manufacturer's service center. We never fit generic dials, hands, bezels or bracelets.
7. Gemstones
Swiss Watches Dot Com will never set, reset or replace a gemstone itself. If a factory-set stone is lost during the Warranty Period, the only remedies are:
- sending the watch to the manufacturer's service center at Swiss Watches Dot Com's expense;
- a comparable replacement watch; or
- a refund of the purchase price.
8. How to Make a Claim
- Contact info@swisswatches.com or (770) 584-1378 with your order number and photos or video of the issue.
- Do not ship the watch until a claim authorization and shipping instructions have been issued. Shipments sent without a claim authorization may be refused.
- Approved claims receive a prepaid, insured shipping label to us and insured return shipping.
- If inspection finds that the issue is not covered, we provide a repair estimate, and return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
- Turnaround is typically 3–6 weeks in-house. Manufacturer service-center timelines can be significantly longer. We keep you updated throughout.
9. Transferability
This Limited Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Coverage ends if the watch is sold, traded or transferred. Proof of purchase from Swiss Watches Dot Com is required. If you are buying a gift, tell us when you order and we will register the recipient as the original purchaser.
10. Final Sale & Order Protection
All sales are final. Swiss Watches Dot Com does not offer refunds or exchanges. The only exceptions are:
- the Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee (section 12);
- an order Swiss Watches Dot Com cancels because the watch cannot be delivered as described (section 15);
- anything the law requires.
Order Review
To protect our clients and ourselves from fraud, orders may be reviewed before shipping, and we may ask you to verify your identity, billing details or payment. If an order cannot be verified, we may cancel it and return the payment in full.
Misdescribed Items
Every watch is described in detail. If you believe the watch you received differs materially from its listing, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos. If a watch was materially misdescribed, we will correct it by repair, a comparable replacement, or a refund of the purchase price, at our option, upon return of the watch in the condition received.
Damaged in Transit
Every shipment is fully insured and requires an adult signature. If a parcel arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours, keep all packaging and contents, and do not use the watch. We will file the carrier claim on your behalf and make the order right.
Non-Waivable Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy that cannot be waived under applicable law.
11. Trade-Ins
Swiss Watches Dot Com does not offer refunds, but welcomes trade-ins toward another watch.
- Trade-in value is based on the watch's condition and current market value at the time of trade, confirmed after inspection.
- Watches bought from Swiss Watches Dot Com, and eligible watches from other sources, may be traded toward any Swiss Watches Dot Com watch. On a trade toward a lower-priced watch, Swiss Watches Dot Com pays the difference.
- Any remaining warranty coverage ends at trade-in. Every watch bought with trade-in credit receives a new one-year Limited Warranty from its delivery date.

12. Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee
For as long as the original purchaser owns the watch, Swiss Watches Dot Com guarantees that it is authentic and that any diamonds are factory original, as described on the listing. If the manufacturer, or an independent authentication service mutually agreed upon by Swiss Watches Dot Com and the purchaser, determines otherwise, Swiss Watches Dot Com will refund the full purchase price upon return of the watch.
The Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee is non-transferable and does not apply to parts replaced by anyone other than Swiss Watches Dot Com or the manufacturer after purchase.
13. Pre-Sale Inspection
Every watch is inspected before listing:
- authentication of case, movement, dial and bracelet against the manufacturer's reference;
- factory-origin verification of any diamonds: reference and dial code checked against the manufacturer catalog and confirmed with papers or a brand service record where possible. If factory origin cannot be verified, the watch is not listed;
- timing on a calibrated timing machine across multiple positions;
- pressure testing, with the result stated on the listing;
- a functional check of winding, setting, date and complications.
14. Listing Disclosure Standards
Every listing states:
- whether the dial, hands, bezel, crown and bracelet are factory original or genuine manufacturer service replacements. Swiss Watches Dot Com does not sell watches with aftermarket components;
- polish status (unpolished / lightly polished / polished) and known service history, including manufacturer service and its date where documented;
- exactly what is included: manufacturer box, outer box, warranty card or papers (with date where shown), booklets, tags, extra links. If an item is not listed, it is not included;
- the condition grade, using the scale below.
| Grade | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Unworn | Never worn; factory stickers or film may remain |
| Excellent | Minimal wear, visible only on close inspection |
| Very Good | Light wear consistent with careful use |
| Good | Visible wear; fully functional |
| Vintage | 25+ years old; condition described individually, patina noted |
Diamond descriptions follow the FTC Jewelry Guides: we use the factory specification and never state unverifiable carat weights.
15. Order Fulfillment
- Every watch receives a final inspection using the process described in section 13 before it ships.
- If a watch does not pass that final inspection, or becomes unavailable before it ships, Swiss Watches Dot Com cancels the order and returns the payment in full.
- A customer may cancel an order at any time before the watch ships, with payment returned in full.
16. Trademark Notice
Swiss Watches Dot Com is an independent dealer and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Omega, Cartier or any other manufacturer. All brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used solely to identify the watches offered.
17. Legal Disclosures
Any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the Warranty Period. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
Swiss Watches Dot Com is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
