Why This Watch

The Calibre de Cartier was built around the 1904 MC, the brand's first in-house automatic movement, and shows it off through a sapphire caseback. The oversized XII, the stepped dial and the Diver version rated to 300 metres gave Cartier a serious sports watch for the first time. Introduced in 2010, the Calibre has been made in 42 mm, powered by in-house caliber 1904 MC, Cartier's first mass-produced in-house automatic.
